Course brief
This course is for practitioners taking their first step into botulinum toxin treatment. You study theory, facial anatomy and UK regulation online. Then you practise on live models under close supervision. The aim is safe, confident practice and natural-looking outcomes for your future clients.
- Core Knowledge
- 15 hours pre-study + 2 hours online
- Introduction to botulinum toxin: how it works and its licensed uses
- Safe practice and UK law, including prescribing rules
- Facial anatomy and the muscle groups of the upper face
- Client suitability and setting realistic expectations
- Consultation, informed consent and treatment planning
- Dosage, dilution, product handling and injection depth
- Aftercare and ethical, compliant marketing
- Recognising side effects and managing complications
- Includes downloadable consent forms, treatment protocols, muscle diagrams and aftercare guidance.
- Skills Application on Live Models
- 3 Hours in person
- Supervised practice on the standard upper-face areas:
- Forehead lines (frontalis)
- Frown lines (glabellar complex)
- Crow’s feet (orbicularis oculi
- Correct angles, technique and placement
- Client comfort, hygiene and post-treatment protocol
- Assessing facial movement to plan natural-looking outcomes
- Real clinical experience under experienced supervision
